Broad-spectrum antioxidant for daily defence

Contains 43% Oxiguard Complex™, a potent, yet gentle ingredient blend consisting of 8 synergistic skin protecting and enhancing active ingredients working in concert. Includes two stable forms of vitamin C (3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid & ascorbyl glucoside), vitamin C rich kakadu plum extract with the polyphenols ellagic and gallic acid, ferulic acid, vitamin E, the antioxidant amplifying peptide acetyl tetrapeptide-2, organic cucumber extract and hyaluronic acid.

The Oxiguard Complex™ has been designed by dermatologist Dr Stefanie Williams to neutralise harmful free radicals including those generated by UV, infrared and blue light, urban pollution, and the free radicals the skin produces itself, before they can damage the cell. Used every morning before your sunscreen, it adds an extra layer of protection against premature skin aging, dullness and uneven tone.

Vitamin C, vitamin E and ferulic acid form a classic antioxidant network: they support and regenerate one another, so the formula keeps protecting for longer. Kakadu plum (terminalia ferdinandiana, one of nature's richest sources of vitamin C) provides polyphenol buffered vitamin C. Organic cucumber juice standardised for apigenin and ferulic acid adds botanical antioxidant and calming power. Acetyl tetrapeptide-2 helps reinforce the skin's own defences by inducing endogenous antioxidants like glutathione, while hyaluronic acid keeps skin hydrated and supple.

What makes Oxiguard Complex™ special is that it defends the skin on four fronts. It protects both the watery and the oily compartments of the skin: the vitamin C trio and polyphenols work in the water phase, vitamin E protects the lipid-rich cell membranes, and ferulic acid and 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid bridge both. Its three forms of vitamin C work on three different timelines: fast-acting 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid for rapid protection, slow-release ascorbyl glucoside that is converted to vitamin C within the skin over hours, and a polyphenol-buffered reserve from kakadu plum. The vitamin C, E and ferulic acid network keeps regenerating itself, so the antioxidants do not simply scavenge once and disappear. And acetyl tetrapeptide-2 switches on the skin’s own, renewable antioxidant machinery (via the NRF2 pathway). The result is broad-spectrum antioxidant protection.

Directions

Shake before use. Every morning after cleansing, spray onto clean skin of the face (avoiding the eyes), neck, chest and backs of the hands. Gently massage in and let dry before applying other products. Follow with your sunscreen.

As with any new, potent product, introduce gradually and use as tolerated – everyone's skin is different! Start with twice per week or every other day for a couple of weeks, before increasing to every morning, if tolerated.

PATCH TEST: We always recommend a patch test before using any new skincare product on the face: Apply a small amount daily onto the skin of your inner elbow. Observe the area for 5 days. If any redness, stinging, itching, blistering, or other irritation occurs, do not use the product.

CAUTION: Store in a cool, dark place. Do not apply to damaged or hypersensitive skin. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use. If breakouts do not clear with over-the-counter products, consult a dermatologist.
